Medical Education refers to the study and training that medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals undergo in order to learn about the theory and practice of medicine. This includes courses in basic sciences such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, microbiology, and immunology; clinical rotations where students gain hands-on experience working with patients under the supervision of attending physicians; and elective courses that allow students to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, surgery, psychiatry, or other medical subspecialties. The goal of medical education is to prepare healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide high-quality patient care throughout their careers.
